Client "A" is a manufacturing company based in the West Midlands. They have four other plants across the UK and clients worldwide. In order to discuss high resolution CAD designs and briefs with both clients and colleges it had been necessary for them to travel extensively.
Our client required a solution that would allow them to discuss and share these documents, make detailed annotations and have face to face contact with their colleagues and clients whilst dramatically reducing their travel costs and carbon footprint. As the solution was required to be used by both staff and clients it was imperative that the system was intuitive with little need for training or internal support.
Sharp Business Systems UK Plc worked with the client to fully understand their requirements and design an interactive video conferencing solution with HD data share. This comprised a 70-inch full HD Sharp Big Pad interactive touch screen solution coupled with a Polycom Group 500 HD video conferencing system, in ceiling audio, wall mounted AV control and desktop cable management. A VAAS-t 8 user virtual meeting space was also added to the solution allowing remote attendees to join the session from anywhere in the world and on any device, dramatically reducing the need to travel.
Client "B" is a telesales organisation based in Bradford West Yorkshire. They have 300 staff working several shift times. As the client uses an in-house bespoke call management software package they have a requirement to keep their staff updated on the use and functionality of this together with running role-play scenarios and brainstorming sessions. When not in use, the client needed to show the live call stats and for this information to be viewed by all telesales staff and management.
Sharp Business Systems UK Plc worked with the client to fully understand their requirements and install a number of mobile 60-inch Sharp Big Pad interactive touch screens across the sales floor. The screens were connected to the client's call centre management PCs to display the live content and could be simply switched to Sharp's intuitive Big Pad Pen Software to allow the team leaders to annotate, make brainstorming notes and run through scenarios with the sales staff at the flick of a switch. As the units were mobile, this allowed the screens to be moved around the sales floor and also be taken into training rooms where necessary.
Client "C" is a secondary school based in London. They had been using interactive whiteboards for some time and had been experiencing problems with a lack of clarity from the projected image, coupled with the growing expense of replacement lamps and maintenance costs. The school has a "bring your own device" policy and was keen for the students to engage with the lesson content displayed by the teaching staff by using their mobile devices which varied across device type and operating system to include Smart Phones, Android tablets, Apple iPads and Laptops.
Sharp Business Systems UK Plc worked with the IT team and teaching staff to introduce Sharp Big Pads into the classrooms to replace the existing whiteboards. These coupled with Sharp's Touch Display Link Software allowed the students to review the lessons on their devices, make personal revision notes over the content viewed, share content from the Big Pad to their devices and even take control of the Big Pad at the teacher's request. The high brightness HD display was easily viewable from anywhere in the classroom and using the 10 point touch facility the teaching staff were able to easily pinch and zoom the content to ensure that even the most intricate detail could seen by all.
Client "D" is a retail company with a clothing store in the heart of Edinburgh with a large window space looking out onto the high street. The client wanted to advertise their clothing brand with a solution that offered optimum impact. As the clothing range was ever changing, the client needed to be able to update the images and videos on a regular basis.
Sharp Business Systems UK Plc worked with the client to introduce a nine screen video wall installed into the window space, driven by a Brightsign digital signage solution connected to the client's network. This enabled any required changes to be made to the HD video and image content straight from the Marketing Manager's desk. The video wall was then fitted with the Sharp innovative screen mirror bezel solution further reducing the impact of any viewable screen bezel and offering the impressive illusion of a 4m x 3m seamless image.
